The conference is organised by the European Physical Society in cooperation with the Quantum Electronics and Optics Division (QEOD) of the European Physical Society (EPS) and the Czech Technical University of Prague (CTU).

 

The Europhoton conference was established for the first time in 2004. As a tradition it changes its location for each new edition. Following on from the very successful previous conferences held in Lausanne (2004), Pisa (2006), Paris (2008), Hamburg (2010), Stockholm (2012), Lausanne (2014), Vienna (2016) and Barcelona (2018) the conference will move to Prague in Czech Republic to host the Europhoton 2020 event.

Novel laser material concepts. Growth, characterisation, and spectroscopic investigations of solid-state laser materials. Rare-earth-ion and transition-metal-ion lasers. 9th EPS QEOD Europhoton Conference

 

Dear Europhoton participant! This year we need to face with the Covid-19 spread in Europe and overseas. Please be informed that at this stage (16 April 2020) we still schedule Europhoton 2020 to take place from 30 August to 4 September 2020 in Prague, Czech Republic. We are however closely watching the news on the Covid-19 disease and will follow the recommendations of the Czech Republic government and of the hosting institution on this matter. In case an on-site meeting is not possible, we will switch to an online all-virtual conference format. Knowing that many cannot access to their laboratories, as present action, please note that the deadline to submit your contribution is now Monday 1 June 2020.
